Turkish Cem Adrian is many things. He is a singer, songwriter, author and artist. Now, he is coming to indigo at The O2, and will share his talent with London. The show takes place on 27 April, and here’s what to expect.  

Born Cem Filiz, he hails from Edirne, Turkey and is of Bosnian descent. His stage name derives from Adrianople, which is a town in Edirne. He studied at Bilkent University’s Department of Performing Arts, and went onto start a career in music.Cem is famous for his soulful songs as well as his ability to sing in different octaves and styles. In 2005, he released his first album, Ben Bu Sarkiyi Sana Yazdim. His songs include Derinlerge, Mutlu Yillar, Sen Gel Diyorsun and Zincir. Plus, he recently released the album Selections – Essentials 2/CEM, which is inspired by folk sounds.

Today, Cem has almost two million followers on YouTube and 1.2 million followers on Instagram. His tour has already taken him to Copenhagen, Hamburg and Istanbul. He is also scheduled to perform in Antwerp, Belgium on 2 May; Zurich, Switzerland on 10 May; and Dusseldorf, Germany on 20 May.

The venue is on the sprawling East London site and is the smaller sister venue to The O2, and can accommodate up to 2,750 people.
