The limited-edition collection will be available for sale soon.
Collaborations between fashion houses and celebrities are common. Whether it's singers launching beauty lines or athletes stepping into the world of sneakers and streetwear, these partnerships are bound to turn heads. This time around, Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton has teamed up with Dior, to launch a capsule collection.
Launched at the Dior store in London, Lewis Hamilton's collaboration with Dior consists of pieces thought out by him and Dior Artistic Director Kim Jones. The pieces feature elements from Africa while blending the practicality of snowboarding gear.
The Lewis Hamilton x Dior capsule collection includes quilted fleece jackets, puffer coats, and other practical yet stylish items that can easily transition from the slopes to the city. Expect hues of brown, white, and grey, as well as pops of colour such as blue, green, red and many others, as part of this collection. Since the items double up as snow sporting gear, you can also get your hands on accessories such as ski goggles that can also be used as high-fashion sunnies or jewellery items to elevate your look.
Speaking of the collaboration, which features designs from Nigeria, Lewis Hamilton shared: "It's those special touches that really make each piece impactful, and I hope people feel the same way I do when they wear them."
The highlight of the Lewis Hamilton x Dior collaboration is the B44 Blade footwear. These sneakers are a nod to the early 2000s but with a modern twist, combining the racer's love for streetwear with high fashion. If you're a sneakerhead, these are some cool kicks you'd want to grab starting at a little over AED 5,500 — that's about £1,100.
Details of when the collection will be up for sale haven't been disclosed but stay tuned at FACT for all the insights.
