The sneakers are available in Dubai, London and Saudi Arabia.
British Brand Mallet London has launched a new shoe that caught our attention. The Neptune sneaker is inspired by the Gherkin building, which can be found in the City of London. So, if you want to get your feet on the collection, here’s what you need to know.
Mallet London’s Neptune channels the architectural wonder in a sneaker. The shoe boasts sleek lines and distinctive curves, which are reminiscent of the building. The collection is available for men and women in 13 different colour combinations, from Drench Orange to Midnight.
Mallet London prides itself on its attention to detail and meticulously crafted products. The materials include meshes, leathers and a moulded cage. Plus, the lightweight design combines comfort with functionality.
The Creative Director of Mallet London, Tommy Mallet, explained: “The eagerly awaited, Neptune, represents the rebirth of Mallet London, our creative journey started amidst the council tower blocks, only to soar to new heights with inspiration drawn from the city skyscrapers”.
The Gherkin, officially known as 30 St Mary Axe, was created in 2003. Designed by Foster + Partners, the structure spans 41 floors and is 180 metres tall. The building is home to offices and restaurants, which range from Searcys at Gherkin to Sterling in the Gherkin. Plus, it has featured in films including Woody Allen’s Match Point, and Marvel’s Thor: The Dark World.
Mallet London’s Neptune sneaker starts from AED 890 and SAR 890 and is available online. Plus, it is stocked in Dubai Mall’s Bloomingdales and Level Shoes, Dubai’s Mall of the Emirates’ Harvey Nichols and THAT Concept Store, and Riyadh Park’s Level Shoes.
