The sports-inspired experience runs until 12 August.
Selfridges is more than just a luxury department store. With bars, restaurants and on-trend events, it’s now home to a fun fitness pop-up. Located on Oxford Street in London, The Wonder Room includes a collaboration between Jacquemus and Nike. The experience runs until 12 August, and here’s what to expect.
Just in time for the 2024 Paris Olympics, Jacquemus and Nike have drawn inspiration from Air Max 1. The iconic sneaker has been seen on stars ranging from Central Cee to Serena Williams, and now comes to life in the pop-up shop. The space is bold with large Nike branded earbuds and a large red sculpture of Nike’s tick logo. Great for the gram, visitors can even sit inside the logo.
The Wonder Room space looks like a locker room with its industrial aesthetic and grey, steel-esque walls. Guests are invited to interact with the space, which includes features you would find in a gym, such as lift ropes and weights. You can even order freshly squeezed juice.
This is not the first time Jacquemus and Nike have collaborated. In 2022, they created a 15-piece collection with designer Simon Porte. Plus, if you’re a fan of Nike, Air Jordan’s new releases, which were created in time for the Olympics, include the Air Jordan 4 Retro Wet Cement sneaker and the Air Jordan 6 Retro Pearl sneaker.
Selfridges is open from Monday to Friday from 10am to 10pm, and Saturday from 10am to 9pm and Sunday from 11.30am to 6pm.
