While Jordan has plenty for culture vultures, this property stands as an all-encompassing luxurious destination.

When you think of Jordan, your mind probably drifts to the marvels of Petra or the buoyancy of the Dead Sea. While these destinations certainly draw crowds, the bustling capital, Amman offers a wonderful mix of history, hospitality, and nightlife.

Located on the highest of Amman's seven hills, Four Seasons Hotel Amman offers panoramic views of the city. A 30-minute drive from Queen Alia International Airport with a central spot on Kindi Street, this hotel opened its doors in May 2023.

As soon as you step into Four Seasons Hotel Amman, your eyes will be drawn to the grand spiral staircase that dominates the lobby. With floor-to-ceiling windows and double-height ceilings, the space is bathed in natural light. Simple seating arrangements scattered throughout the lobby offer a place to relax and soak in the grandeur. The large pillars, reminiscent of the Roman empire, set the tone for the luxurious yet historic stay. Plus, there's a Four Seasons store where you can purchase branded merchandise from bathrobes and pillows.

Accommodations

The ground floor of Four Seasons Hotel Amman houses the reception area, ensuring a smooth and efficient check-in process. Boasting 192 rooms, including one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and royal suites, FACT checked into the Premium Room.

Prior to unlocking, we noticed how similar the details in the hotel corridors were to the Four Seasons Kingdom Centre in Riyadh. This similarity continued into the room, featuring ample wardrobe space with brightly lit closets. Aross from the closet space was the bathroom. Though compact, it was designed with practicality in mind. With the exact layout of its Riyadh counterpart, it featured a private shower area, bathtub, a separate toilet area, and Diptyque toiletries.

Venturing further, the room's decor, primarily white with beige, brown, and hints of gold, along with pops of green, created a luxurious yet authentically Jordanian ambience. The cosy carpeting with intricate patterns provided a warm feeling. A king-sized bed with a tan wooden frame and leather headboard in an olive green colour dominated the space. A woven sofa with green cushions took up space near the window, overlooking the pool below and the city ahead.

A settee in front of the bed faced a 65-inch TV above a long console extending to both ends of the room. One end featured drawers for extra storage, while the other housed a dining/study table brimming with Jordanian snacks and an olive oil bottle. A fruit basket with the region's finest picks also graced the table. Fun fact: You'll find some of the sweetest watermelons in Jordan.

The Five Grill & Lounge on the ground floor serves some of the finest steaks in the city. By the pool, Mezzeh offers a wide selection of dishes, ideal for beating the heat, along with sheesha. Olea, the all-day dining restaurant, provides a variety of nutritious choices as well. The Sirr bar, with its old-world charm, is perfect for evening drinks while catching a football match with friends. But the dining highlight is definitely La Capitale — serving exquisite French cuisine with modern flair. Don't leave without trying their mille-feuille.

The hotel's spa offers a wide array of treatments, however, the highlight remains the Dead Sea products that utilise the region's unique natural resources. Elsewhere, meeting rooms equipped with the necessary facilities take up space, making the property a great choice for business travellers as well.

One thing that stood out during was how Four Seasons Hotel Amman was the popular choice for celebratory events in the city. Whether it was weddings or graduations, the hotel's banquet halls hosted an event every night of our stay. Beautiful brides and grooms, and students with beaming smiles in graduation caps were a common sight.
