Britannic Explorer is a first-of-its-kind sleeper train that promises luxury on the rails.

The United Kingdom has no shortage of luxurious experiences. Be it a fancy MICHELIN-starred meal or a historic landmark converted into an upscale property. Now, the first luxury sleeper train in England and Wales is coming to the country.

In July 2025, the Britannic Explorer will debut as England and Wales’ first-ever luxury sleeper train, blending vintage charm with scenic routes. Operated by Belmond, it offers not only a luxurious journey but also a culinary one.

Britannic Explorer

The Britannic Explorer will feature 18 cabins, including 15 suites and three grand suites. Drawing inspiration from Britain’s landscapes, the interiors will be bathed in a palette of green and beige. Expect plush decor and furnishing, as each suite comes equipped with a private bathroom, armchair, and bed to make your ride as comfortable as luxurious.

Dining on the Britannic Explorer is nothing short of extraordinary. Helmed by acclaimed British chef Simon Rogan, whose restaurants hold multiple Michelin stars, the train will feature a variety of dishes. Some of the experiences to indulge in include afternoon tea, lunch and dinner.

The Observation Car will house a bar inspired by Victorian apothecaries. Here, you can sip on botanically infused cocktails, gins, and craft beers sourced from around the UK.

For those seeking relaxation, the Britannic Explorer offers a dedicated Wellness Suite with a variety of treatments. Off-train excursions also include wellness activities, such as hikes and swimming, so make sure you carry a swimsuit for the ride.

Departing from London, the Britannic Explorer offers three-night journeys across three iconic regions: Cornwall, the Lake District, and Wales. Prices start at £11,000 per double cabin and includes all meals, excursions, and a curated selection of beverages.

So prepare to embark on a journey that promises to be as luxurious as it is unforgettable because the Britannic Explorer is not just a train but also a destination in itself.
