The British actors will star in new works.

National Theatre has attracted the biggest stars across the globe. Located on the South Bank, it is home to world-class theatre. Now, it has announced that Clive Owen and Rosamund Pike will join its 2025 season.

Rosamund Pike makes her National Theatre debut. In July, she will star in Suzie Miller’s play, Inter Alia. The play explores themes of masculinity and motherhood. The story follows Jessica, who is a maverick at the top of her career as a London Crown Court Judge. At work, she’s challenging the system, but behind the robe, she’s facing a difficult juggling act. The cast also includes Jamie Glover and Jasper Talbot. The show plays at the Lyttelton Theatre from 10 July to 13 September.

Clive Owen will return to the National Theatre. In November, he will star in David Eldridge’s End. The play explores love and relationships, and follows Alfie and Julie’s love story with music, laughter and heartache. The show plays at the Dorfman Theatre from 13 November to 20 November.

Rufus Norris, Director and Co-Chief Executive at National Theatre, said, ‘I am delighted that the last four shows in my final season are all world premieres, including a debut play by extraordinary new writer Shaan Sahota.

“This cements a decade of work by National Theatre’s New Work Department to champion and support new stories told by world-class theatre-makers. Telling bold new stories on our stages has always been a hallmark of the National Theatre, and I am thrilled to end my tenure with a programme that reflects a rich and resonant range of perspectives.
