The comedy night is back at Watermans Art Centre.

It’s time to have a laugh. Arabs & Asians Stand-Up Comedy Show is making its return in 2024.

Taking place on 3 February in Watermans Art Centre in Brentford, West London, it brings together cool comedians.

Arabs & Asians Stand-Up Comedy Show’s line-up includes Omar Badawy, Fathiya Saleh, Farhan Solo and Muhsin Yesilada. The host is Salman Malik, who is a London-based stand-up comedian. The aim of the event is to break barriers through laughter – so expect boundary pushing jokes and, of course, lots of laughs.

Omar is originally from Egypt, and started working as a stand-up comedian in 2019. He has also performed at the Edinburgh Fringe. His sets include jokes about his childhood, which spans the Middle East to Cambridge and Wales. Fathiya is a youth worker by day and comedian by night. She has performed across the country, and brings together jokes about identity politics.

Farhan has appeared on BBC Asian Network and Channel Four. His comedy covers politics and religion, and pokes fun at his own identity. Muhsin went from studying a PHD in psychology to standing up on stage. He was a semi-finalist at the Chortle Student Comedy Awards, and his podcast has more than 20 million views on social media.

Watermans Art Centre opened in 1984. Located on the banks of the River Thames, it is near Kew Gardens. The venue opened with a performance by the Indian musician, Ravi Shanker. Since then, it has remained an arts centre, and hosts regular live events.

Arabs & Asians Stand-Up Comedy Show starts at 7pm. Tickets range from £14 to £20.
