The concert takes place at 93 Feet East.

Meteor Airlines is landing in London. The rock band, hailing from Tinghir, Morocco, will play at 93 Feet East on Brick Lane. The concert takes place on July 20, and here’s what you need to know.

Meteor Airlines was founded in 2016. The group’s sound ranges from serene acoustic songs to intense sounds. The group describe their sound as Amazigh Rock, and it draws inspiration from Morocco’s Amazigh history. The songs include Aha, Amdikar, I Invented Fire, I Need Somebody, and Warru. The themes in the song relate to the Amazigh’s history, values and customs. Plus, their latest album, Agdal, is out now.

It’s not just about the traditional sound, but traditional clothing. The group wear cloaks, which are known as azennars. Plus, they sing in Tamazight, which is part of their aim to preserve their heritage through art.

93 Feet East is a bar, club and live music venue. Established in 1993, it welcomes local and international acts, and hosts DJ nights in its main club room. Upcoming shows at the venue include Cora on 22 February, See Emily Play on 23 February, Safe at Any Speed on 28 February, and Divine Order on 22 March. Plus, the Brick Lane Jazz Festival runs from 26 to 28 April.

Tickets are available now for Meteor Airlines in London and start from £20. Doors open at 7.30pm and the show starts at 8.30pm.
