Indulge in coffee, culture and couture at Alaia.

London is constantly reinventing itself. New experiences pop up at every turn, allowing ways to explore art, fashion, and cuisine. Among these additions, Alaia has introduced a unique offering that perfectly blends style with substance.

Alaia has introduced a chic cafe and a bookstore at its New Bond Street outpost. This new feature transforms the boutique into a hub of fashion, art, culture and cuisine.

The new cafe and bookstore occupy the second floor of the boutique The bookstore, created in collaboration with Claire de Rouen, blends the cosy, home-library aesthetic with dark carpeting and plush sofas. Featuring rare and signed books on photography, fashion, and design, the collection offers a glimpse into the creative ethos that shaped Alaia.

Right next to the bookstore is the Alaia Cafe in partnership with Violet Cakes. Founded by Claire Ptak, this cafe features a menu including pastries and treats with locally sourced European and British ingredients.

Alaia, a Parisian fashion house, was founded in 1964 by Azzedine Alaia and has long been a symbol of creativity. Its London flagship store, the first one outside Paris, opened in 2018 in a historic building that was once home to a vintage jeweler. The store offers a range of ready-to-wear, accessories, and exclusive couture pieces. More than a boutique, it reflects Alaia’s legacy of fostering connection — akin to the Paris outpost — where artists gathered over home-cooked meals.

With the addition of the bookstore and cafe, Alaia redefines what a luxury flagship store can be. So next time you’re strolling down New Bond Street, step inside Alaia not just for fashion, but for the books and bites as well.
