The Thai restaurant will be located in Hovarda Soho.

London, it’s time to get ready for some Thai. The world-renowned restaurant, Long Chim, is making its debut in the capital. The team pride themselves on offering authentic flavours from Thailand. The new venue will be located on the ground floor of Hovarda Soho, and here’s what to expect.

Chef David Thompson hails from Sydney, Australia. He made a name for himself as an expert in Thai food, and helped put the cuisine on the international map. He was behind the MICHELIN-Starred restaurant, Nahm, which was previously in The Halkin Hotel, London. He is behind Long Chim, which can be found in Riyadh, Perth and Sydney, and it was previously in Seoul, Singapore and Expo 2020 Dubai. Now, he is bringing Long Chim to London.

Long Chim London

In Thai, long chim translates to come and try, and is an invitation to share dishes. The phrase is typically used for informal dining experiences at street stalls and markets. The menu draws inspiration from these experiences, and flavours found in Bangkok. David and the Head Chef Patipan Jipromma are the masterminds behind the menu. Dishes will span fried and braised dishes, noodles and soups, and will range from Red Snapper Fishcakes to Wagyu Beef Salad.

David explained: “Long Chim is intended to be fun, ‘sanuk’ as they would say in Thailand, with food and drinks that everyone loves. Our menu has all the dishes that Thai’s miss the most when away from home. Pae and I are looking forward to opening our residency in London with our Hovarda partners.”
