Scheduled to open this September, it will be located in The Hoxton Hotel.
A Peruvian restaurant via New York is coming to London. Llama Inn will be located in Shoreditch’s The Hoxton and is scheduled to open in September. So, if you love Latin American food, here’s what to expect.
In 2015, Llama Inn launched in Brooklyn, New York. Founded by Erik Ramirez and Juan Correa, it draws inspiration from Ramirez’s Peruvian-American background. The concept has proved to be a success – it has been awarded a Bib Gourmand by MICHELIN and was awarded a place in The New York Times latest Top 100 Restaurants list.
Llama Inn in London will be located on the seventh floor of The Hoxton. The space includes windows with a view of London and a glass roof that lets in lots of light.
Marcin Maliczowski will be heading up the kitchen. He previously worked at Yakumanaka in Barcelona, which was led by the Peruvian Chef Gaston Acurio. So far, we know that Llama Inn’s menu will feature small bites like Cabbage, Chanacaca, Chocolo, Quinoa Furikake, Rocoto, Saikyo Miso, Squid with Yuca. Plus, Crispy Squid, Lomo Saltado, Pickled Ajies, Pitahaya, Pork Shoulder Bun, Salsa Criolla, and Scallop, Yuzu Kosho.
Llama Inn is known for its creative cocktails, which were created by Natasha Bermudez. The London menu will include drinks from the New York menu. The Chupetini (one shot martini) is made of Japanese gin, dry vermouth and umami bomb. The Llama Del Rey is made from dark rum, pineapple, pisco and red wine.
