Dishes include the Insta-worthy Matilda Chocolate Cake.

Dubai’s dining scene is going global. The homegrown brand Parker’s is opening in Jumeirah Lowndes Hotel. Located in Halkin Arcade, London, this marks the company’s first opening in the United Kingdom.

Parker’s started as a SnapChat account, and guests had to find keys to enter the restaurant. As part of the soft opening phase, Parker’s London has once again hidden keys. On Instagram, the group posted a video that showed the keys to the restaurant being transported from Dubai to London.

As part of the pre-opening Parker’s London welcomed a special guest in the form of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum of Dubai. Parker’s posted on its Instagram: “Honoured to welcome HH Sheikh Mohammed @hhshkmohd, our first visitor at Parker’s London. We open our doors this week for keyholders only! Join the key hunt on @parkers.london”.

Today, Parker’s can be found in the UAE and Saudi Arabia. The menus span breakfast, lunch and dinner. The egg dishes include Feta Shakshuka, Royal Benedict and Zaatar Benedict. Plus, there are classics ranging from an Avocado Toast to Strawberry to Cream French Toast.

One of Parker’s most popular dishes is the Matilda Chocolate Cake, which is the stuff of Insta legend. The cake draws its inspiration from Roald Dahl’s character Bruce Bogtrotter in Matilda. After stealing a dessert, he is forced to eat a whole chocolate cake in front of the school. Chocoholics will love it, as it features chocolate upon chocolate.
