This new venue is expected to open in November.

The Savoy has long been a beacon of luxury and glamour in London. Boasting over 100 years of history, this iconic hotel has consistently set the standard for hospitality in the capital. But even legends need a little refresh now and then, which is why the property’s revamping its much-loved Thames Foyer into the Savoy Lounge.

The Savoy Lounge will reopen in November with a new look and transform into a lively hub where dining and drinking are celebrated. This concept will serve diners all day, including a cocktail hour. Plans to keep the famed afternoon experience are also on the agenda to add the luck of “something old,” but it won’t be the sole focus of the new venue.

The menu at the Savoy Lounge hasn’t yet been revealed, but you can expect traditional dishes with a modern twist. However, the highlight of this new venue is the Scoff — a scone shop where you can enjoy your scones in-house or take them to-go. Also joining the mix is The Florist at the Savoy which will showcase seasonal bouquets.

While Savoy Lounge will offer guests a new experience, the hotel’s Glass Atrium will stay put. But expect it to look much different than before as plans to give it a contemporary makeover with more luxe elements are on the horizon.

The Savoy’s transformation isn’t stopping at its restaurants. The hotel is currently undergoing a phased refurbishment of its 267 rooms and suites, with the first of these newly refreshed accommodations to be revealed in August next year.

In addition to the Savoy Lounge, The Savoy houses an equally amazing lineup of restaurants, such as the Beaufort Bar, Gordon Ramsay’s Savoy Grill, Restaurant 1890, and The River Restaurant. So make sure you get yourself a reservation at this sweet spot and indulge in superb scones.
