The new bar is located on the roof of The Dorchester Hotel.
The Dorchester Rooftop is raising the roof. The hotel has opened an English countryside-inspired rooftop bar to celebrate the beautiful British summertime. Located in Mayfair, it boasts brilliant views of the city’s skyline, and is well worth checking out.
Inspired by the English countryside and secret gardens, the space is decorated with gorgeous greenery. The venue includes a herb garden, plant pots and trees, bringing nature to the heart of the city. Plus, there is an Insta-friendly view of London’s famous park, Hyde Park.
The Dorchester Rooftop’s food and drink is also inspired by nature. The menu is a nod to British cuisine, and prides itself on using seasonal herbs as well as floral garnishes. Expect pretty plates that cover starters, mains, salads, sides and desserts. The mains include Grilled Cornish Lobster, Roast Norfolk Chicken and Truffle Risotto.
The drinks menu aims to capture the summer and season’s flavours. The bartenders use ingredients from the herb garden, too. The cocktails include the Enchanted Blossom, which is a take on a gin sour; Golden Hour, which is a take on a mai tai; and the Wildflowers, which is a take on a margarita. Plus, there is Champagne, wine and more.
If the weather takes a turn for the worst – it is London, after all – you don’t have to worry. The venue includes blankets, heaters and, most importantly, umbrellas.
The Dorchester is open from Thursday to Saturday from noon to midnight, and Sunday from noon to 6pm.
