Covent Garden will be transformed into Gotham City of sorts, for a limited time only.
Comic book fans, this one’s for you. It’s time to grab your capes because London is gearing up to host one of the biggest celebrations of Batman to date.
Taking place from 6 September until 3 November in Covent Garden, Batman Unmasked will be held in honour of the superhero’s 85th anniversary — offering fun for all ages.
Covent Garden will transform into Gotham City of sorts, where you’ll get a chance to roam around the Batcave and see all the superhero’s gadgets — including the iconic Batmobile itself. Spread across nine theme rooms, you’ll be able to explore the original props used in the movies, vehicles, and the costumes worn by your favourite stars who’ve played Batman over the years. These range from the time when Michael Keaton played Batman, followed by Christian Bale, and the recent, Robert Pattinson.
But that’s not all you’ll see. While Batman is a favourite superhero, his villains have their own fan base as well. Expect to see props and costumes and other filmography elements that are true to the likes of Bane, Penguin, Joker, Riddler and many more at the Arkham Maze. Make sure you spot the nurse costume worn by Heath Ledger’s Joker in 2008’s The Dark Knight and Joaquin Phoenix’s red suit. It’s going to be a dream come true for all Batman fans.
Apart from the usual items at the Batman Unmasked exhibition, you’ll get to enjoy a gaming zone and comic book area. Battle it out with your friends or find some of the classic comics in pristine condition. You’ll also be able to buy exclusive 85th-anniversary merch that will be on sale at the exhibition.
Tickets to Batman Unmasked are live now and start at £21, so grab them now and explore Gotham City like never before.
