This is your chance to soak in all the Christmas vibes.

Christmas preparations are well underway in London. With less than 100 days to go, the capital is again transforming into a winter wonderland, ready to engulf everyone in its charm. And while you prepare your festive plans, make sure to add ice skating at Somerset House to the mix.

The ice rink at Somerset House, which opens on 13 November and runs until 12 January, offers the chance to skate around the 40-foot Christmas tree and soak up all the festive spirit.

Skaters of all levels are welcome to take to the ice rink throughout the day. In fact, the Skate School backed by National Ice Skating Association-accredited instructors will also be running programs so you can catch up on skills. With their guidance, you’ll be gliding on the ice in no time.

However, the true magic unfolds at night with Skate Lates. The ice rink transforms into a dance floor with a DJ taking over the decks. Expect the likes of Jay Jay Revlon, Rohan Rakhit, and Dankie Sounds to make you groove to some Christmas beats.

In addition to the on-ice action, Somerset House will also feature a Whispering Angel Skate Lounge, where you can sip on rosé. At the Chalet Suisse by Jimmy Garcia, you can keep warm with the likes of cheese fondue or cosy up with a cup of mulled wine.

Now no Christmas is complete without some shopping, which is why Somerset House also has a Shelter Boutique pop-up where you can explore pre-loved designer and vintage clothing. Proceeds from any and all purchases you make will go towards those in need, staying true to the festive spirit of giving while also securing a spot on Santa’s Nice List.

Tickets for skating at Somerset House will be live later today. So grab one for yourself and your loved ones, and enjoy a classic Christmas experience.
