Selfridges has scored a stylish slam dunk. The department store opened a basketball-inspired lounge in partnership with the NBA and Hennessy. Located on Oxford Street, it is part of the store’s Sportopia events and runs from 12 to 31 August.

Selfridges’ Hennessy x NBA experience brings the spirit of basketball to the heart of London. The space includes a mini-court and net. Visitors can challenge themselves with free throws and a one-minute shootout challenge. The winner receives a Hennessy X.O NBA limited edition bottle.

Selfridges Hennessy NBA

Selfridges’ Hennessy x NBA experience includes a Hennessy bar. Guests can order drinks with the spirit, from Hennessy on the rocks to specially crafted cocktails. The drinks list ranges from a Hennessy Margarita to the Berry Mojito. Limited edition Hennessy x NBA merchandise is available – a Hennessy silver basketball, anyone? Plus, no NBA experience is complete without the kiss camera, and the Henny Cam invites shoppers to smooch.

Julie Nolet, Managing Director at Moët Hennessy UK, explained: “Following our floating NBA basketball court in 2022, we’re known for coming up with fun and unexpected locations, and what better this summer than by slam dunking it in the centre of all the action? We’re inviting all Hennessy and sports fans to join us this August and get into the Spirit of the NBA and the summer of sport by shooting some hoops and sipping a Hennessy cocktail at our Player’s Lounge Bar.”

Judd Crane, Executive Buying Director at Selfridges, added: “We’re excited for customers to experience this incredible new Corner Shop concept, where a basketball court, courtside bar and edit of exclusives bring a taste of courtside action. The collaboration joins our Sportopia line up, a celebration of sport at Selfridges this summer, with a shared commitment to celebrating community and culture.”
