The chic spot showcases the French Riviera-inspired collection.

There are so many reasons to visit London’s iconic department store, Harrods. Now, we have one more, thanks to Celine. This summer, the luxury fashion brand is opening a pop-up shop, and it’s got us accessorising our next holiday.

The Celine pop-up in Harrods draws its inspiration from the French Riviera, and is designed like a beach club. This is your chance to look through the Summer 23 collection, which was shown on the runway in St. Tropez. As travel returns to normal following the Covid-19 pandemic, the line celebrates the sun, sea and sand.

The Celine pop-up boasts bags, belts, sunglasses, shoes and even exclusive pieces to Harrods, which include the signature Triomphe bag. Plus, the collection echoes the style of its Creative Director Hedi Slimane, and his beloved Saint-Germain-des-Pres.

Celine was founded in 1945 in Paris. It began as a luxury brand, creating made to measure children’s shoes. In the 1960s, it repositioned itself as a ready to wear fashion brand for women. Today, it has almost 178 stores around the world, from London to New York.

Celine is not the only fashion brand opening a pop-up in Harrods. Prada recently opened the pop-up fashion café, Prada Caffé inside the department store. The venue is decked out in the brand’s signature style and brings a touch of Milan to London. The décor includes mint-coloured counters and walls, and a chic black and white tiled floor. Plus, it serves Insta-worthy dishes, from pastries to pastas.

The Celine pop-up runs until Sunday, 11 June.
