Located on New Bond Street, it celebrates the fashion brand.
Aldo Gucci once said: "Quality is remembered long after price is forgotten". If you agree with that sentiment, then you'll be excited to hear about Gucci's new store and its first appointment-only salon in London. Located on New Bond Street, it covers 15,000 square feet over five-stories.
Two years in the making, the new London store is located inside a Grade II-listed building, which was once an art gallery. The sophisticated spaces include The Tudor Room with wood-panelled walls, and pieces from the Gucci archive in Florence.
The Gucci Salon is the first of its kind in Europe, and is by appointment only. The salon is inspired by the 1977 Gucci Galleria in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, which was accessed by a crystal lift that opened with a leather key. In the London store, customers can shop in private rooms and have a curated experience.
The London store is home to men's and women's wear, spanning accessories, bags, ready-to-wear, shoes and watches. The stock includes the latest Gucci Spring / Summer 2023 collection, Gucci Bamboo 1947, the recent adidas collaboration, and the brand's Pet Collection. Plus, Gucci's Valigeria travel collection with suitcases, travel bags and vanity cases.
Artwork can be found throughout the London store, and has been selected by the curator Truls Blaasmo. The pieces celebrate Italy and the artists include Alighiero Boetti, Simon Callery, Matilde Cassani, Tim Etchells, Franco Mazzucchelli, Liliana Moro, Jonny Niesche, Massimo Uberti and Joshua Woolford.
The new store is open from Monday to Saturday from 10am to 7pm, and Sunday from noon to 6pm.
