Hercules is inspired by the 1997 animated film of the same name by Walt Disney Studios. The story is set in ancient Greece, a time of gods and mortals. Hercules doesn’t quite fit in and is tasked with saving the world from Hades. He goes on a journey from zero to hero and acquires a different kind of strength.

The feature film was directed by John Musker and Ron Clements, and written by Clements, Musker, Donald McEnery, Bob Shaw and Irene Mecchi. The film won Best Animation Feature at the Los Angeles Film Critics Association Awards and was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Song for Go the Distance.
