American superstar Rachel Zegler has made her mark in musicals. Now, she is set to make her West End debut, and star as Eva Perón in Evita. Scheduled to run between 16 June to 6 September, it will be playing for a limited time at the London Palladium.

Evita will be directed by Jamie Lloyd and will bring to life Andrew Lloyd Weber and Tim Rice’s musical. The musical includes the songs Another Suitcase in Another Hall, Don’t Cry For Me Argentina, Oh What A Circus and You Must Love Me.

Jamie explained: “I am so excited to be collaborating with the brilliant Rachel Zegler on Evita. She is a phenomenal talent, and I am delighted she will be making her West End debut as the iconic Eva Perón.”

Rachel added: “Evita has been such an important musical to me since I was a little girl, when my dad and I would sing Don’t Cry for Me Argentina together on my back patio. The opportunity to bring Jamie Lloyd’s singular, visionary ideas to life onstage is an honour unlike any other. The stage has always felt like home to me, and I can’t wait to make my West End debut in such great company.”

Rachel hails from New Jersey, United States. After Steven Spielberg created an open casting call for his film, West Side Story, she beat 30,000 people for the role of Maria. Over her career, she has starred in the films Disney’s Snow White and Shazam! Fury of the Gods. Plus, she made her Broadway debut as Juliet in Romeo and Juliet.

Tickets to see Rachel Zegler in Evita are available now.
