American star SZA is heading to London. BST in Hyde Park has announced that she will headline the festival on 29 June. She will be supported by R&B sensations Sampha and Snoh Aalegra, and here’s what to expect from SZA at BST Hyde Park.
SZA, real name Solána Imani Rowe, was born and raised in New Jersey, United States. She has openly spoken about how she was raised as a Muslim and follows the religion. Her moniker contains references to the religion: S stands for saviour, Z stands for zig zag, and A stands for Allah. She was the first female artist to be signed to Top Dawg Entertainment, and joined the artists Ab-Soul, Jay Rock and Schoolboy Q.
SZA’s hit songs include Good Days, I Hate U, Nobody Gets Me and Snooze. In 2023, she earned her first number one on the Billboard Hot 100 with Kill Bill. She has written for artists including Nicki Minaj, Rihanna and Travis Scott. She has collaborated with artists ranging from Jill Scott to Maroon 5. Over her career, she has received four Grammy Awards, two Billboard Women in Music Awards, and an American Music Award.
