Located in Stratford, the café specialises in freshly baked bread.

FACT Dining Award London nominee e5 Bakehouse is expanding, and opening in V&A East Storehouse. Located in Stratford, the new venue is scheduled to open in May. The café has built a firm following, and prides itself on its bread that is made in-house.

e5 Bakehouse already boasts two venues in London. These can be found in London Fields and Poplar. Now, the third venue will be opening in V&A East Storehouse. The menu will include locally sourced food and drink, and there will be a focus on sustainability.

Laura Parker, Deputy Director of V&A East, explained: “We’re thrilled to partner with e5 Bakehouse at V&A East Storehouse to create an exciting and affordable café experience and vital third space where everyone is welcome. Born and bred in east London, e5 Bakehouse are passionate advocates for our shared local communities.

“Their sustainable and inclusive approach to hospitality, desire to give back, and commitment to artisanal baking with ingredients sourced from their own farm and mill, are some of the many reasons we wanted to collaborate. e5 Storehouse will complement the existing food and drink offer in the area, while offering delicious, great quality food and value for our visitors – we can’t wait to open and welcome you in.”
