Harrods is famous across the world for its luxury labels. Now, the London department store is revamping its Food Hall, and welcoming world-renowned chefs. So, if you’re a foodie, put this redevelopment on your radar. 

Harrods’ Food Hall is made up of the Chocolate Hall, Fresh Market Hall and the Dining Hall. The Dining Hall is temporarily closed and it will reopen on 7 October. The site will include familiar favourites with new menus, and new concepts from international chefs. 

Dubai-based Neha Mishra is making her international debut. Kinoya Ramen, which went from a supper club to a restaurant and then a MICHELIN Bib Gourmand recipient, is coming to Harrods. Specialising in ramen, the dishes include Shio Paitan Ramen, a slow-cooked chicken broth with dashi, served with seared chicken, to Tonkotsu Ramen, with a 12-hour broth that is only available in Harrods. Plus, the snacks include Burnt Butter Scallops, Miso Butter Aubergine and Wagyu Tsukuba’s meatballs.

Sushi by Massa

Chef Masayoshi Takayama’s Sushi by Masa is an omakase restaurant – aka a Japanese dining experience when dishes are selected by the chef. Diners will be seated around an oval counter with 40 seats. Plus, there will be an a la carte and set menu, and drinks will range from Japanese spirits to whisky.

Assembly Mezze & Skewers

Chef Athanasios Kargatzidis has created Assembly Mezze & SkewersHis hospitality hits include Baron in Beirut, Costa Fria in Portugal and a pop-up at Expo Dubai 2020. Designed for sharing, the concept is all about grilled and vegetarian dishes with an Eastern Mediterranean influence.

Pasta Evangelists

Pasta Evangelists by Perbellini first opened in Harrods’ Food Hall in 2018. Now, it is back with the chef Giancarlo Perbellini, who is behind Casa Perbellini in Verona. The dishes include Baby Octopus Bruschetta, Beef Ragu, Ravioli with Braised Venison, and Tiramisu.

Tom Kerridge’s Fish & Chips

British chef Tom Kerridge is back with Tom Kerridge’s Fish & Chips. The fish is ethically caught and hand-selected by local fishmongers. Choose from daily catches, hand-dived, and grilled or deep-fried options with the chef’s signature crisp and gluten-free batter.

The Grill

Meat lovers should make a beeline for The Grill, which includes Australian Wagyu sirloin, Japanese Kobe fillet and USDA Creekstone ribeye. Plus, dishes also range from English Rotisserie Chicken to Truffle Mac and Cheese. 

Visitors to Harrods’ Food Hall will be able to enjoy live music, a curated cocktail list and some of the world’s greatest chefs.
