The beloved patisserie is bringing its finely crafted pastries to an international audience.
The Dubai-based Persian patisserie Vivel has opened in the Selfridges Department Store, offering customers in the capital its renowned pastries and timeless petit fours.
The store will provide confectionaries such as their classic chocolates, dates, baklava and other Persian delights. This new venture will help progress the brand’s legacy and achievements on a global stage.
Their expansion into Selfridges comes as yet another success, after the launch of their first London boutique on Brompton Road last year. Vivel’s customers are loyal and committed, as shown in their ever-growing expansion across the capital.

Vivel was founded by Shahnaz Bagherzadeh, whose passion for the craft of pastry-making began during her childhood in Iran. Opening in Dubai in 1992, Vivel has become one of the region’s top patisseries. The brand has successfully expanded internationally, with stores in Geneva, Japan and Montreal.
Ehsan Hosseini, the Managing Director, said: “Bringing Vivel to Selfridges is a dream come true. Our journey has always been about creating pastries that stand the test of time - confections that are as rich in heritage as they are in flavour. We are thrilled to introduce our signature offerings to the heart of London and share our passion with new customers.”

Selfridges is well-known as an iconic London retail spot in London for well over a century now. Named as the World’s Best Department Store, it’s home to a finely curated selection of gourmet cuisines, Vivel now included. Their department store is the perfect place for Vivel’s expansion due to their commitment to platforming luxury and high-end businesses, while putting their customers at the centre of their choices.
