The exhibition showcases the history of the Kingdom.
A slice of Saudi Arabia is coming to London. The Knightsbridge department store Harrods is hosting a pop-up exhibition showcasing Diriyah. Running from 1 to 26 July, the immersive experience tells the story of the Kingdom’s birthplace and showcases the luxury residences.
Diriyah Company and Harrods have come together to create the exhibition. The space boasts traditional Najdi architectural style, and the Saudi Arabian site’s signature colours of brown, orange and yellow. At its heart is a display of the ongoing developments in Diriyah. Plus, it showcases the 350 residences, which are under development by luxury brands including Baccarat, Corinthia and The Ritz-Carlton.
Diriyah Company and Harrods previously worked together on Harrods Hive Riyadh. In January 2024, it aimed to create equal opportunities and support emerging talent across arts, design and entrepreneurship. Plus, Diriyah Company has upcoming events places in Los Angeles, New York, Sydney and Paris.
Diriyah Gate Development Authority is behind the ambitious US$20 billion heritage and tourism project. Created in line with Saudi Vision 2030, the development aims to attract 25 million visitors annually. The giga-project will be home to museums, shopping, restaurants and hotels, and already boasts Bujairi Terrace.
Bujairi Terrace features traditional mud-brick architecture and a pedestrianised maze of winding alleyways. It is also home to 20 restaurants, including local and international concepts. The venues include Hakkasan Riyadh and Villa Mamas, which can both be found in London. Plus, it overlooks the UNESCO World Heritage Site, At-Turaif.
