Arabic music lovers, we have some sweet-sounding news. Open Mic Night – A Night of Arabic Music is returning on 18 April. Taking place at Rich Mix in Bethnal Green, London, the event brings together local and international talented singers and musicians.
Now in its eighth edition, Open Mic Night – A Night of Arabic Music is a popular event. The previous editions have all sold out. Expect covers of Arabic singers including Umm Kulthum, Fairuz and Mashrou’ Leila. Plus, the shows include original music and mash-ups as well as remixes of old songs with modern sounds.
If you’re feeling creative, the stage opens up at the end of the night. Budding performers are welcome onstage to show off their skills. Whether you like to sing, dance or play an instrument, you can share your talent.
Rich Mix is famous for its diverse shows, and the venue welcomes performers from around the world. Upcoming shows include Nowruz Party on 16 March, Death Valley Gils on 20 March, Imad Kehdy on 22 March, Mad Women on 23 March, and King Raam on 20 April.
The festival Arab Women Artists Now 2024 at Rich Mix is also underway and runs until 30 March. Now in its 10th year, it showcases Arab women in London and beyond in the worlds of art, comedy, music and performance.
