OG Kicks in Carnaby Street will host a launch party.

Skating and sips come together with Lil Wayne X Bumbu skateboards. The American rapper is teaming up with Bumbu Rum and OG Kicks to create limited-edition skateboards. The launch coincides with Go Skateboarding Day on 21 June and marks the skateboards' debut in the United Kingdom. 

On 21 June from 6pm to 8.30pm, OG Kicks in Carnaby Street will be transformed to mark the launch. Guests can enjoy free Bumbu drinks, and learn about the sneakers, skateboards and rum. London-based skateboarder Stefani Nurding will be at the event, and judging a skateboarding competition. The winner will be awarded a Lil Wayne X Bumbu skateboard.

DJ Carmen London will be setting the soundtrack and spinning tunes. She is also an entrepreneur and radio presenter and specialises in afro beats, hip-hop, house and R&B music. Plus, she has appeared on BBC 1Xtra, CapitalXtra and Notting Hill Carnival. 

Lil Wayne, born Dwayne Michael Carter Jr, hails from Louisiana, United States. When he was 11 years old, he signed to the record label, Cash Money Records. In 1999, he released his debut album, the Block Is Hot. His hit singles include A Milli, Got Money and Lollipop. Over his career, he has sold more than 120 million records and won five Grammy Awards, eleven BET Awards, four Billboard Music Awards and two MTV Video Music Awards.

Lil Wayne is a passionate skateboarder and previously announced that he was moving from music to the sport. He even went so far as getting the Baker Skateboard logo tattooed on his face.
