The Blitz tunnels will be home to an exhibition, museum and the deepest licenced bar in the country.

London is home to hundreds of years of history. Now, The London Tunnels will open, unlocking more than 70 years of history. Located in a disused underground destination, London's latest attraction includes secret tunnels that will now be unveiled to the public. Scheduled to open in 2028, here's what to expect.

The London Tunnels are undergoing an exciting £120 million transformation. Built between 1940 and 1942 by the UK government, they were designed to protect citizens during the Blitz in World War Two. In the 1980s, they were shut down, but they will now reopen as a family-friendly attraction. The team behind the project hopes that the attraction will be popular with locals and tourists.

The site will include state-of-the-art exhibitions, which bring to life the historical heritage. The site will consist of a memorial to the Blitz, with museum and exhibition spaces. Plus, a James Bond-inspired bar will serve Vesper Martinis, and become the deepest licenced bar in the country.

The London Tunnels span a mile from the West End to the Square Mile. While they might be up to 98 feet underground, the ceilings at The London Tunnels are high enough to fit a double-decker bus. Plus, the tunnels will retain many of their original features, which will add to their charm.

The renders of The London Tunnels look fascinating. Each space offers a different experience. So far, the images show screens on the curved walls, a walkway surrounded by nature, and a golden bar with countertop seats and lounge areas.
